Tie The Knot is now Pronoun
Tie The Knot was founded to combine all of our favorite things: humor, style, individuality, fashion, art, and equality. Founded by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the goal of Tie The Knot was to bring awareness of the inequalities of LGBTQ civil rights through design and fashion. Jesse started Tie The Knot in 2012 as a fun way to engage every American in the fight for marriage equality. Ever since marriage was won in 2015, Tie The Knot has shifted its focus to LGBTQ rights within the United States and marriage efforts across the globe.
Since 2012, Tie The Knot has released over 20 collections of specialty products- in collaboration with some of their favorite fashion and design partners - inspired by their favorite art, fashion, and more. Over 30 organizations across the United States have benefited from Tie The Knot proceeds.
In 2021, after years of progressive awakening in racial, gender, and queer movements and beyond, and recognizing the inevitability of intersectionality necessary to equality’s progress, Tie The Knot officially became Pronoun.
